One of my all time favorite road trips was a trip I took up the coast of California on Highway 1. As a photographer, my original love of photography came from the love I have of nature. Capturing nature in its raw beauty is fascinating to me.
When I first began photographing, 9 out of 10 images I shot were of landscapes and animals. Now my career consists mainly in photographing people but once in a while I exclude people from my images and capture nature just as it is.
In this series I am sharing, you will see a small sampling of what I was able to capture on my 8 hour drive up the cost of California from Los Angeles to San Francisco. I highly recommend this road trip to photographers in all stages of their career.

Wonderful photos and reminders to enjoy the beauty of nature. I had a similar love of nature that led to photography, although I’ve let it go somewhat to write. Thanks for connecting on my blog. blessings, Brad

Highway 1 is definitely a favorite road trip. I live in SoCal, but went to school up north and have family there. I’ve probably made that drive 20+ times, and each trip was amazing. Thanks for the follow. I am enjoying your photographs!
